HANDS ON WORKSHOP (HOW) Designed for Schools & organised Groups

Be inspired by some up-front inspection of great art or great history! Using the works on display at the Dubbo Regional Gallery – The Armati Bequest or the Dubbo Regional Museum, students will explore issues, techniques and themes relevant to thier field of study. These workshops give students the chance to interpret what they see in a hands-on fashion that is creative, inspirational and meaningful. A two hour workshop at $12 per student - all age groups and stages catered for, includes a guided tour, professional instruction by a local artist or museum educators, and all supplies.

You be the Curator (Stage 6 Visual Arts) (2.5 hours)

Create your own exhibition from the WPCC collection! In this session senior students will explore the role of the curator in the development of an exhibition. In the new Education Resource Centre (see Museum Education for more information) students will review the gallery collection, devise a theme around which to develop their show, stage the layout of the works on a gallery floor plan, and develop written content in connection to the exhibition.
